Heartland Agri-Vent - 3D Printers include 2 - Fortus 900mc, Fortus 400mc and a Connex 500

Fortus 900mc, Fortus 400mc, and Connex 500

The Fortus® 900mc 3D Production System was specifically designed for direct digital manufacturing. Not only does it boast the largest build envelope; there are significant differences in its mechanical, electromechanical and electrical systems. The head gantry is driven by ball-screw technology resulting in more accurate parts with improvements in predictability and repeatability. Additionally, the control software has been modified to leverage the system's hardware advancements. These features deliver greater throughput, accuracy, repeatability, and reliability.

Like all Fortus 3D Production Systems, the Fortus 900mc™ uses stable thermoplastics that continue to outperform nearly all competing technologies in accuracy and repeatability. Proven FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology manufactures parts in productiongrade thermoplastics that are ideal for conceptual modeling, functional prototyping, manufacturing tools, and end-use parts.

ABS-M30 - Production-Grade Thermoplastic for Fortus 3D Production Systems -
ABS-M30™ is up to 25 to 70 percent stronger than standard ABS and is an ideal material for conceptual modeling, functional prototyping, manufacturing tools and end-use-parts. ABS-M30 has greater tensile, impact and flexural strength than standard ABS. Layer bonding is significantly stronger than that of standard ABS, for a more durable part. This results in more realistic functional tests and higher quality parts for end use. ABS-M30 parts are stronger, smoother and have better feature detail.

PC (Polycarbonate) - Production-Grade Thermoplastic for Fortus 3D Production Systems -
A true industrial thermoplastic, PC (polycarbonate) is widely used in automotive, aerospace, medical and many other applications. PC offers accuracy, durability and stability, creating strong parts that withstand functional testing. A PC part manufactured on a Fortus® 3D Production System is 5 to 60 percent stronger than a part made on previous FDM® systems. It also has superior mechanical properties to ABS and a number of other thermoplastics. When combined with a Fortus system, PC gives you parts for conceptual modeling, functional prototyping, manufacturing tools and end-use-parts.

FDM® Nylon 12 - Production-Grade Thermoplastic for Fortus 3D Production Systems -
FDM® Nylon 12 is the first material in Stratasys' new family of nylon offerings, complementing the current portfolio of FDM materials and enabling new applications requiring: repetitive snap fits, high fatigue resistance, strong chemical resistance and press (friction) fit inserts. Nylon 12 is primarily used in aerospace, automotive and consumer goods industries to take on everything from tooling, jigs and fixtures to covers, panels and vibration resistant components. For use with Fortus® 360mc, 400mc & 900mc 3D Production Systems, FDM Nylon 12 offers unparalleled toughness and a simple, clean process – free of powders.

ULTEM™ 9085 Resin - Production-Grade Thermoplastic for Fortus 3D Production Systems -
ULTEM™ 9085 resin is a flame-retardant high-performance thermoplastic for digital manufacturing and rapid prototyping. It is ideal for the transportation industry due to its high strength-to-weight ratio and its FST (flame, smoke and toxicity) rating. This unique material's preexisting certifications make it an excellent choice for the commercial transportation industry – especially aerospace, marine and ground vehicles. Combined with a Fortus® 3D Production System, ULTEM 9085 allows design and manufacturing engineers to produce f ully functional parts that are ideal for advanced functional prototypes or end use without the cost or lead time of traditional tooling.

Fortus 400mc

The Fortus 400mc™ allows you to manufacture real parts with multiple production-grade thermoplastics, such as ABS-M30, PC, PPSF, ULTEM* 9085, PC-ABS blend and more. Fortus 400mc is a user configurable high-performance workhorse, ideal for creating real partsfor conceptual models, functional prototypes, manufacturing tools, and end-use parts. The Fortus 400mc coupled with insight front-end processing software lets you quickly manufacture parts that match your mechanical, thermal, aesthetic and resolution needs. With the Fortus 400mc, you can accurately manufacture real parts with complex geometries, that are strong enough not only for functional testing, but end use as well.

Connex 500

Introducting — a 3-dimensional, mulit-material printing system, The Connex 500 Objet Poly Jet. The Objet Connex 500 is pioneering multi-material 3D printer. Featuring a large build tray size of 500 x 400 x 200 mm, which enables designers and engineers to rapidly build prototypes to simulate their intended end-product closer than any other technology.

Using its patented simultaneous multi-material jetting technology, the Objet Connex 500 can print models made of up to 14 different materials, in a single print job. The system is ideal for designers and engineers looking to effectively highlight the varying material components in complex or assembled products.

You have the freedom to select your own materials. From an unrivalled range of over 60 materials including up to 51 Digital Materials™, the Objet Connex 500 allows users to simulate diverse mechanical and physical properties, from rubber to rigid; opaque to transparent; and standard to ABS-grade engineering plastics.

Superb Productivity. The Objet Connex 500 features:
Multi-material models – Eliminating the need to design, print and glue separate model elements together.

Different parts. Different materials. Same tray - Saves time and serves multiple requirements simultaneously. Outstanding 16-micron, high-resolution print layer accuracy 600 DPI X & Y resolution, thin walls down to 0.6mm / (0.024″).

Large-size build tray of 500 x 400 x 200mm – Enabling printing of large parts in a single build or many small parts on a single tray.

High throughput – Up to 20mm per hour per strip.

Reliability and robustness – At least 72 hours of non-stop build capacity.

High speed – Simultaneously print multiple items of different materials; models cure while printing; models can be handled immediately after print.
